A Striking Resemblance
CIDP Brain Fog Strikes Again! (Or, How My Newsletter Jumped the Gun)
Fellow advocates, friends, and fellow travelers on the sometimes-bumpy road of life with CIDP, I have a confession to make: My newsletter went rogue. Yes, rogue. It decided to burst forth from the digital womb a full day before its scheduled debut. And, as the one-man band behind this publication, I can only point to one culprit: My ever-so-helpful, sometimes mischievous, and often unpredictable CIDP brain fog.
Now, I pride myself on being organized. I meticulously plan content, carefully schedule social media posts, and triple-check everything. But even the most diligent planner is no match for the occasional cognitive gremlin that pops up when living with a chronic illness. You know the feeling: that sudden mental blank, the misplaced keys (or, in this case, the misplaced publication date), the inability to recall the simplest word.
So, how did it happen? Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I suspect I entered some sort of time warp, convinced myself that today was tomorrow, and hit the "send" button with gusto. Perhaps the universe was simply eager to share our latest advocacy news!
Of course, a part of me could blame the cat, who, admittedly, does enjoy walking across the keyboard at inopportune moments. I could blame the influx of emails, or the allure of a really good cup of coffee. But, in the spirit of transparency, I'm taking full responsibility. This one's on me… and my CIDP-addled brain.
The good news? The content is still relevant, informative, and hopefully, a source of encouragement. And hey, now you get an extra day to enjoy it!
The lesson learned? Always double-check the publication date, and maybe invest in a cat-proof keyboard cover. But more importantly, be kind to yourself. Living with a chronic illness is a constant balancing act, and sometimes, we're going to stumble. It's okay to laugh at ourselves, embrace the imperfections, and keep moving forward.
So, please enjoy this slightly premature edition of the newsletter. And if you happen to notice any other glitches or brain-fog-induced errors, just chalk it up to the quirks of living life with CIDP. After all, a little bit of chaos keeps things interesting, right?
